The closest neighbor to Sue Aikens is more than 300 miles away. Eric Salitan subsists solely on what he hunts and forages. Chip and Agnes Hailstone catch fish for currency in bartering for supplies, and Andy and Kate Bassich use their pack of sled dogs for transportation.

Spring has sprung for our four Alaskan households living miles from the nearest road network in different corners of this merciless territory. After the harsh winter, breakup is under way in remote Alaska and Life Below Zero's hardy characters face a whole new set of challenges.

01. Hunt or Be Hunted

The second season begins with Andy dealing with a dangerous predator as hibernation season ends for the local wildlife. Also: Chip and Agnes hunt for fur; and Sue works to stock her freezer before the end of bear season.

The runway strip is threatened by runoff from melting snow that could halt vital business for Sue's camp. Elsewhere, Chip and Agnes commence on a fishing expedition with their children.
