Under One Roof was a television programme in Singapore. First aired in 1995, Under One Roof was the first locally-produced English-language sitcom in Singapore. A critical and popular success, the show won the Best Comedy Programme or Series Award at the Asian Television Awards in both 1996 and 1997, a Best comedy actor award,three best comedy actress awards and was a finalist in the "Best Sitcom" category at the International Emmy Awards as well as the New York Festivals Awards.It paved the way for future sitcoms like Happy Belly, Phua Chu Kang Pte Ltd, Mr. Kiasu, and Living with Lydia. It starred a multicultural cast reflecting the ethnic makeup of Singapore: Moses Lim, Koh Chieng Mun, Vernetta Lopez, Nicholas Lee, Andrew Lim, Selena Tan, Zaibo, Norleena Salim and Daisy Irani. In later seasons where Selena Tan's character made an appearance, Chinese-Hong Kong actor Richard Ng was cast to play Bobby, Anita's father.

Dolly' meets her old boyfriend, Jimmy Chan, for the first time in years and invites him over for dinner. Teck gets a little jealous of all the attention Jimmy lavishes on Dolly. Jimmy still carries a torch for Dolly and he's not afraid to make his feelings known to her. After all, they never got to kiss before breaking up and he's still got that kiss on his list. Meanwhile, Michael's been whining to Paul about his latest girlfriend problem. It gets worse for Paul when he's stuck in a car with a flat tire in the pouring rain with Michael and Ronnie and he can't escape.

Yusof is worried. Not only is his mee rebus business threatened by Sam's Super mee rebus from a nearby hawker centre. This annoys Yusof even more. The rivalry between the two hawker centres intensifies as their annual football match is coming up. Yusof's team has been losing year after year and he has to do something to break the duck. It would also shut Sam up as he's been boasting that he'll beat Yusof's team ten-zero. Paul gets reservist call-up. He was a medic in NS and he can't wait to start working on bandages and first aid again. He tries to get everyone at home to be his 'patients'.
