With the motorcyclist facing life-changing injuries, Amy needs to investigate how it happened. A team of officers led by PC Niaz Waddington use ANPR camera technology to track down a carload of suspected supermarket robbers. What they anticipate being a straightforward operation turns into a chaotic nightmare as the car's four occupants, high on drugs, refuse to play ball.

PC Ian Cosgrove is called out to help a driver on the notorious Thelwall Viaduct, but torrential rain threatens his rescue attempt, while a good Samaritan sees his brand new car destroyed when he comes to the aid of another motorist.
